• OVERVIEW

  PGCS were appointed to provide Structural design services for the improvement of Accident and Emergency facilities at Southend Hospital. The works consisted of a new build extension to the original 1960 concrete framed building which entailed the design and detailing of a two storey steel framed building supported on pad and strip foundations. Also included were alterations to the existing building, including the removal of one of the main load bearing columns and the introduction of associated support structures.
