• OVERVIEW

  The project consists of a large housing development of some 268 private and public housing association units within 8 blocks of varying height and style. The 2 largest blocks are curved on plan and connected via an undercroft car parking below an upper ground level insitu reinforced concrete transfer deck. Above this are 4 storeys of conventional loadbearing masonry and precast concrete construction, except for a central section which is 8 storey insitu reinforced concrete flat slab and column construction. The other blocks are conventional 3 to 4 storey construction as before. All blocks have a variety of different style balconies and overhanging feature roofs and are supported on piled foundation.

  The work also involved various on site retaining walls and a boundary retaining wall supporting the Local Authority highway.
